Let's be honest here we are the only experts on ourselves because no one else lives the energy behind our own eyes. Here at Learning From Friends, I find myself fortunate enough to spend some time with my friends introducing them to you and allowing them to take us on a journey into their world. In this episode, I speak to my friend Daniel Welker about his journey as a minister in the Church of Christ. Some topics we discuss are: what got him into the ministry, his education, his roles in the church over the years, the interviewing process, what the day to day looks like, what is involved in preparing a sermon, the role his wife plays in the ministry, importance of community involvement, and his recommendations for those looking at joining the ministry.
